Location: Smyrna, DE
Schedule: 4 – 5 Days Per Week, Shift hours To Be Determined
Pay: $13.50
Job Overview
As the Telephone Operator, you will help to ensure the maintenance of an efficient and helpful communications service to the employees and clients of the state agency. You will serve as a professional customer service bridge between internal and external customers using telecommunication systems and processes. We are looking for a candidate that has excellent communications and customer services skills, with a dedication to providing the highest quality of service in support of the agency and its mission.
Qualifications
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to record information clearly
- Knowledge of proper procedures for answering calls and message taking
- Knowledge of the operation of an internal paging system
- Knowledge of simple record keeping
- Answer calls and make necessary connections
- Operate paging system in order to connect internal calls and place external calls that require assistance
- Operate according to internal procedures in order to notify proper parities of an emergency
- Maintain a reference directory
- Keep records such as logging calls, incident logs, daily and weekly census rosters
- Perform related duties such as greeting and directing visitors and distributing mail
